The origin
The Essential Spray
The bottle Kelly has made for people for years. Shake it well, then mist clean skin.
The living recipe is being written by weight and tested for an outward shelf.
Wait for the spray
Not an air freshener. Made for skin.
The ritual
The spray is why Poplar exists. The Body Oil is what leaves the bench first. Used together, one brings the skin its mist and the other asks it to stay.

While the skin still holds the mist, pour a little oil into the hand and press it in.
One Classic formula, thirty 8 oz bottles, only after the bottle and batch earn it.
Wait for the oilNot a routine with ten steps. One meeting of water and oil, made slowly enough to notice.
The first shelf
First outward batch
Jojoba, apricot kernel, and Oregon meadowfoam are on the bench. The final balance is not yet ruled.
Thirty bottles intended. No date or price promised.
Ring for the first batchThe giving season
A bottle, its ritual, and a small clear glass made by a nearby hand. First we commission three vessels and live with them.
A possibility being made real, not a box for sale yet.
Ring for the giftWhen both have earned the shelf The Essential Spray and Body Oil will be offered separately, and as the complete water-then-oil ritual.

“The oils dissolve in the witch hazel. Then the witch hazel dissolves in the water. And I always shake it well before spraying.”
Kelly's observation from the living recipe
That is where the outward spray begins. We keep the observation, then write the ingredients by weight, watch the bottle over time, test what each shake and spray delivers, and make the finished formula earn its shelf.

Each plant keeps a page in the oils.
The vessel
A clear glass for one body's use of oil: no printed measure, no little luxury for show. It should gather the scent, pour without a trail, rinse clean, and keep its place in the home.
We are looking nearby for the glassblower who wants to make the first three with us. The one Kelly reaches for again will teach us whether there should ever be thirty.

No money held, no dates promised. When a batch lands, you hear first.
